General Paediatrics
Managing common paediatric conditions is a day to day routine job of family doctor. At the level of primary and secondary prevention, we offer childhood immunisations, 6 weeks check and 4 years old check, brief developmental assessment, counselling with breastfeeding, referral for allied health providers such as occupational therapist, child psychologist and speech pathologist for children with special needs such as ADHD, dyslexia and Autism.
Recognising serious childhood disorders with subsequent prompt management including prompt referral to hospital is the mainstay of successful acute paediatric management. Serious complications including death can be prevented.
Our doctor are well trained in managing common Paediatric problems with Diploma of Paediatrics at University of Auckland and Diploma in Child Health at Ireland.
